This is the seventh Sunday of Easter. I took this week’s message from Revelation 2:12-17, specifically verse 17. I also looked at 1 John 3. I went away from the lectionary this week and took a moment to share our childrens’ names and the scripture story behind them. Then I asked folks to consider what it meant to receive a name from God – to be a child of God.
