This is the sixth Sunday of Lent also known as Passion/Palm Sunday. For the past several years on Palm Sunday, I have written a meditation upon an aspect of Holy Week, usually pertaining to the Passion of Christ, and given that for a sermon. This year’s meditation focuses on the fact that Jesus’ disciples left him and fled. He was abandoned. Jesus was abandoned, so that we would never have to be again. This week’s reading was from Matthew 26:47-56.
