Podcast: Good News part 3 – Obedient Fishers

This is the third in the “Good News” series and it is from Luke 5:1-11, the call of 4 disciples to be fishers of men. This particular story sets out the example for how a disciple is supposed to respond to Christ – and is in contrast to the people in Nazareth in chapter 4. As we think about sharing the Good News with others, it is worthwhile to ask how a fisherman, Simon, became Peter who preached at Pentecost. The answer is not found within Peter, but rather in God’s hand at work in Peter’s life. It should be the same for us.
